A warm welcome to Wenallt Wild Camp, our small, family-run farm site. Enjoy incredible views over the Black Mountains (Y Mynyddoedd Duon) of Ammanford and Panafan, the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) on your doorstep and ancient woodland all around! We offer something for everyone, from grass pitches to our cosy selection of bell tents, shepherd's huts, and camping pods.
Over the years, we've created a peaceful and secluded base to unwind where nature is at the forefront. With visiting birds of prey, wild flowers, and wonderful walks all around, it's the perfect place to reconnect with the outdoors. We are ideally located too, with the sandy Aberavon Beach and the city of Swansea just a 20 minute drive. We hope to see you here soon!
Our site sits just outside the Brecon Beacons National Park, offering panoramic views, alongside stretches of woodland. Tents and campervans can pitch up on spacious non electric grass pitches set across two levels, ideal for soaking up the scenery in a peaceful, secluded setting. Each pitch also includes a fire pit, perfect for a cosy and authentic outdoor experience.
For added comfort, we have part-furnished bell tents with beds, outdoor seating, and BBQs. Our rustic shepherd’s huts offer a true back-to-nature escape. Two huts are off-grid and sleep two adults and two children, complete with comfy beds and access to a communal outdoor cooking area for dining al fresco. The third hut provides a more luxurious, romantic escape in a private setting, featuring an ensuite, electricity, and its own kitchen area. With the huts, you're welcome to book extra tents if your a larger family wanting to stay together.
The camping pods offer an alternative for both couples and families. We have a dog-friendly one for those bringing their pup along, and a larger family pod. Both include private decking areas with seating, ideal for relaxing and taking in the surrounding countryside!
Finish your day at the communal BBQ area to meet fellow campers, or cook up a tasty feast. You can also enjoy a friendly game of darts. Adventure lies beyond the site, with Neath (Castell-nedd) town a five minute drive, and the sandy coastline and Afan Bike Park 20 minutes away. For slower-paced days, take in the calming atmosphere with a walk around the surrounding waterfalls.
